Abstract:
Scientific studies of Persian language acquisition owe much to the voluntary involvement of participants who agree to take part in these studies. The active involvement of participants in the research in general and the studies of Persian language acquisition in particular contributes to the enhancement of research quality in this field.
Currently, Persian language schools of universities are witnessing substantial growth in their student populations. The availability of large samples of non-Iranian Persian language learners provides Persian language acquisition researchers with ample opportunities to conduct field studies on the acquisition of Persian as a second language.
Persian language instructors have been involved in many of the studies which had been conducted in this field. Thus, their role should also be considered along with the role of language learners. Through their studies, observations, and research reports, the instructors have made significant contributions to the depth of inquiry in this field and the implementation of findings in language classes. Thus, encouraging the further involvement of these instructors in research studies could lead to the realization of major developments in this field.
Through quantitative and qualitative studies, learner behaviors could be observed and learner participation in the Persian language teaching-learning situations could be studied. The results of these studies could help us better understand the language learners. They could also contribute to the design of Persian language teaching-learning models and frameworks.
As this journal aims to publish articles which have sound theoretical foundations, enjoy high quality, and are highly innovative, researchers and scholars are invited to submit their original works to the journal and contribute to the quantitative and qualitative improvement of research into Persian language acquisition. Your comments will also help us to improve the journals quality and address the publication problems.
