Sociological Approach to the Religion and Violence intertwine: ISIS Case Study

Many observers refer to their religious interpretation in analyzing the actions and policies of ISIL. The basic question that this research seeks to answer is how much the social components has played in the formation of ISIS in Iraq and Syria and the use of violence in its actions? The main hypothesis of the research is that the root of the emergence of this group and the adherence of Sunni Arabs to it have been social components such as fear and threat of existence and culture. The research results show that although ISIL's religious roots are related to extremist interpretation of Islam, this group could not persevere without the support of the Sunni Arabs and the marginalized and marginalized youth of the Western countries. The people who came to ISIS with the fall of Saddam, and afterwards, America's withdrawal and the vacuum of power they created, promised them a religious endorsement of cultural survival and ultimate victory. The research method in this paper is descriptive-analytic. So that different data are collected from library resources and in the form of pick surfing and analyzed.
