Application of Agent Based Modeling in the Analysis of Complex Social Systems: The methodology of Innovation Systems Analysis

The concept of the national system of innovation is developed at the end of 1980s and had grabbed considerable attention in the next decade, either from policy-makers or academicians. By the turn of the new century, it witnessed changes from different aspects, particularly by its applicability in the context of the developing countries. This paper shows how the diversity of views in 1990s is now transforming to a more convergent research program around the original views of Freeman as a leading figure in this area.
