Does Herzberg's Motivation - Hygiene Theory Apply to IUMS Faculty Members?
This research was carried out to survey the factors influencing job satisfaction in the IUMS faculty members. and also to examine the Herzberg motivation - hygiene theory.
This research was descriptive - analytic III nature. The data was compiled by questionnaires.
Factors such as promotion, job importance, challenge, and appreciation, lead to job satisfaction. Furthermore, salaries and fring benefits, administrative policies, staff intimacy, and job security prevent job dissatisfaction.
Noting that motivation is an inner stimulus leading to behaviour changes, and considering that inner rewards create faculty job satisfaction, the responsibility lies with the administration of the university to try its best to promote motivational factors and inner rewards.
