Improving Organizational Performance By Investing In Human Resources: An Analysis Of The Role Of Organizational Governance And Organizational Citizenship Behavior (Case Study: The Country's Water And Electricity Industry)
This study investigates the relationship between investment in human resources and organizational performance by mediating role of organizational citizenship behavior and moderating role of corporate governance in Iran's electronic energy and water industry. The study is an applied research, descriptive-correlational and inductive. The statistical population were 111 senior experts, heads of groups and departments, and general managers of offices working in the electronic energy and water industry. According to Morgan's table, we used 111 questionnaires which distributed online by the use of Simple sampling method. The validity and reliability of the questionnaires confirmed by content validity and Cronbach's alpha. Statistical analyses performed by the use of SPSS 22 and Smart PLS2 Software. Results indicate that there is a positive and significant relationship between investment in human resources and organizational performance and organizational citizenship behavior as well as between organizational citizenship behavior and organizational performance. Moreover, the mediating role of organizational citizenship behavior between investment in human resources and organizational performance confirmed. However, the result did not support the moderating Role of Corporate governance in the relationship between human resources and organizational performance.
