The Consequences of the Formation of Pseudo Evaluation Culture in Elementary Schools: A Phenomenological Approach
Assessment has a key role in education: at both the classroom and school system levels, assessment impacts how and what teachers teach and students learnand defects in this process will have consequences. The aim of this paper is to present the consequences of pseudo evaluation in primary schools.In this study, 27 individuals were selected through Purposeful Sampling. We interviewed and analyzed 27 expert teacher. After exploratory qualitative analysis of expert teacher interviews, five main domains of pseudo evaluation became apparent. Triangulation also has been viewed as a research strategy to test validity through the convergence of information from different sources. The findings indicate a wide range of consequences including: Consequences for students, teachers, families, society and the educational system. According to the evidences, the lack of independent mechanisms and accreditation institutions has provided the basis for the formation of a culture of pseudo evaluation and its consequences.
