Study of the appropriateness of teaching methods with the lifelong learning approach; Case study: Bu Ali Sina University of Hamadan
In the current era that knowledge and information are rapidly changing, universities should pay so much attention to the lifelong learning approach. The main purpose of this research was to determine the degree of harmony of teaching methods of professors with lifelong learning approach.
The research method was descriptive-survey. The statistical population included all undergraduate students of Bu Ali Sina University in the academic year of 2018-2019 the total number of them were 7171, 4273 girls and 2898 boys. Using proportional stratified sampling method and Krejcie and Morgan sample size estimation table, 360 people were selected as the statistical sample, 146 male students and 214 female students. The data collection method was a researcher-made questionnaire. The content validity method (CVR) was used to assess the validity and its validity was 0.86. Was calculated. The reliability of the instrument was calculated by using Cronbach's alpha test / 91. Descriptive statistics and Kalmogorov-Smirnov statistical tests, single-group t-test and one-way analysis of variance were used to analyze the data. Data were analyzed using SPSS software version 19.
The findings showed that the appropriateness of teaching methods of Bu Ali University professors with lifelong learning approach was lower than average and there was no significant difference between the appropriateness of teaching methods of different faculties with lifelong learning approach.
The consequence of the compatibility of teaching methods with the lifelong learning approach will train independent, responsible, self-controlled, self-evaluating and self-directed learners who shape the nature of lifelong learning.
