Optimizing designing of road pavement based on terms of ASHTO Bylaw

ASHTO procedure is one of the old procedures as well as effective ways for determining pavement layers. In traditional procedure, determining of thicknesses is based on experience and estimation and sometimes it is possible that results noneconomic plans. In regard to the importance of optimizing in road construction projects and pavement, we have introduced a procedure for optimizing of pavement layers using two-phase simplex algorithm in MATLAB software environment. The results show that in a road of one kilometer length, about four million TOMANS economic saving have been made that it demonstrates the effectiveness of this optimized plan.
