An Investigation of Agricultural Student's Attitudes toward Entrepreneurship

Message:
Abstract:
The major goal of the current study is to investigate the attitudes of agricultural students toward entrepreneurship. A survey approach is used in this research. The statistical population was comprised of the undergraduate students of Sari Agricultural and Natural Resources Science and Payam-e-Noor Universities who were selected by applying proportional stratified sampling technique. The sample size for students was 110. Data were gathered via the use of questionnaires. The instruments validity and reliability were confirmed based on the opinions of a panel of experts and Cranbach,s Alpha Coefficient respectively. The results of the research indicated that there was a positive significant relationship between entrepreneurial intention of students and their entrepreneurial skills, internal and external motivations, self-efficacy, social norm, expectations, creativity and perception of desirability. The results also revealed that lack of funding or personal savings, lack of financial resources and lack of information for starting up a business are the main constraints on the students’ intentions toward entrepreneurship.
