    In this article, 13 books of the works of al-Qadi al-Nu’man al-Misri (4th century) written during the reign of Mansur (334-341 AH) are introduced. Some of these works are in the field of imamate and response to Sunnis, and some others are in Ahl al-Bayt-based jurisprudence. Under each title, bibliographical and codicological explanations alongside with the helping notes and comments of the author are given

    The present short article tries to discuss the issue of the writing method in the Muslim tradition by mentioning some examples. In addition to the method and style of writing books, transcription and writing copies is another interesting topic that is noted. The simplest application of knowing the style and manner of writing copies in the work of selecting copies: some transcriptors changed some parts of the script for their personal use and removed some materials according to their needs during the process of transcription. This caused the following scholars to think that we are Specialized Quarterly of Bibliography and Manuscript Studies Vol 28, No 109-110, Autumn-Winter 2022 dealing with different editions of these books. By mentioning some cases, this article aims to attract attentions to these points.

    Mohammad Kazem Hezarjiribi is one of the prominent Shia scholars in the Qajar era. He did not accept mystics and quasi-sufis in his works and used to criticize them. The treatises “Munabbih al-Maghrureen”, “Ilzam Al-Muhideen” and “Munabbih al-Juhhal ‘ala Wasfi Re’isi Ahl aldilal “ are among the works he wrote on the subject of criticizing the three movements of philosophy, Sufism and mysticism. This article examines the socio-cultural circumstances prevailing during the author’s life, and also presents, explains and analyzes a brief history of the emergence of the three movements. The library information collection method (both printed books and manuscripts) and explanatory-analytical approach have been used for information processing. Reference mode applied here is APA style.

    The article talks about Sayyid Abdullah Beladi Bushehri (1291- 1372 A.H.), a Shia jurist. Biography, masters, students, permissions, list of his 72 books on various topics are stated in alphabetical order in the article. In addition, after bringing forward a total of 21 elders of the Beladi family who belong to the Belad region in Bahrain, 11 prominent figures of the family have been introduced in detail. A list of more sources for research about this family is presented at the end.

    Hasan bin Ali or Naser Kabir is one of the Alevi rulers of the 3rd century Hijri in Tabaristan region of Iran. His most famous work is Tafsir Kabir. Considering the historical importance of Naser Utroosh, as one of the Alevi rulers of northern Iran, as well as his religious and narrative personality, researchers interested in this field are in need of a bibliography about him. This article addresses 25 independent or significant works on Utroosh and more than 70 other works, which can help researchers in researches on Utroosh

    A list of 25 books written by the Shia jurist Seyyed Mohammad Kazem Tabatabai Yazdi (1253-1337 AH.) in the field of jurisprudence and methodology of jurisprudence in alphabetical order is presented in this article. Seven commentary works on his well-known jurisprudence book al-Urwa t al-Wuthqa as well as a list of his sixty students are addressed.

    This article is a review of 5 seals and 24 seal designs, among which 16 are in Nastaliq script, 13 are in Thuluth script, and one is in Kufic script. These seals belong to the Timurid, Safavid and Qajar periods. The pattern of seals is mostly Arabic and Persian. Some of them are verses of the Qur’an, and some are Persian poems, with the name of the owner of the seal and sometimes its date elegantly inserted in it. Some are just the name of the seal owner.

    In this article, after referring to the scientific position of Ayatollah Sayyid Shahab ud-Din Mar’ashi Najafi, a part of the permissions issued by him including: permissions for Shia scholars, educational approvals, criticisms on Books, confirmations of endowments and genealogies, etc. is addressed. In this issue, 21 documents including 17 permits for 13 Shia scholars with their brief biographies have been presented.

    A brief history of the Reyhanat ur-Rasoul Cultural Foundation in Yazd, which was founded by Mirza Mohammad Kazemaini, a contemporary Yazdi scholar. Writing the Encyclopaedia of Yazd Prominent Figures in 1378 SH. and Yazd Legends in 1383 SH. and several other reference books, establishing and expanding a specialized library of Yazd studies, a document center and its manuscript section the list of which has been published, and then dedicating the entire collection to Imamzadeh Jafar in Yazd along with several other collections such as the collection of documents, coins, old seals, stamps, matches, etc., which are in that collection are among this foundation’s background. In this article, a list of this foundation’s cultural activities from 2004 onwards and some of the exquisite manuscripts are reviewed

    The autobiography belongs to Mirza Rahim Etemidi the son of Mirza Ali Mohammad Etemad al-Ulema (born in 1278 SH.), who lived in the city of Malekan. This biography was written by the author in 1346 SH. in as a part of his book Rangarang (Colorful). In addition, he reports the situation of his family and his education, some of the events of the First World War in Azerbaijan, the events of Shahrivar 1320 SH., the famine of 1328 and 1338 SH., Nader Mirza’s poem describing Etemad al-Ulema and the construction of one of the roads in Azerbaijan.
