Studying the Relationship between Illumination System and Pedestrians Accidents in Yasuj City

In this research relationship between illumination system and accidents of pedestrians in Yasuj city is studied. Police accident report forms in the 1389 are studied and pedestrian accidents which are occurred at day and night are separated. Using risk indexes, it has been shown that there is a meaningful relation between number of pedestrian accidents and illumination system in the Yasuj city. The number of pedestrian accidents in the cross walks with suitable illumination is less than the number of accidents in the cross walks without suitable illumination system.
