Abstract:
Introduction
This study aims to address the relationship between workaholism as a construct and its subscales(work involvement, feeling of being driven to work and work enjoyment) with NAJA’s headquarters managers’ productivity. Since managers are spending more time in the organization, this investigation seems legitimate.
Methods
This article is an applied research based on purpose and a descriptive data collection approach has been used. Research population consists of NAJA’s managers located in headquarters possessing positions ranked 17 and 18. A sample of 230 managers were tested with validated existing questionnaires of workaholism (Spence and Robbins, 1988) and achieve model ( Hesey and Goldsmith, 1980). The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient for workaholism and productivity has been calculated 0.79 and 0.81 respectively.
Findings
There is a meaningful correlation between workaholism and productivity. Furthermore, workaholism subscales; feeling of being driven to work, work enjoyment and work involvement have the strongest correlation with productivity respectively.
Conclusion
On the basis of findings we can conclude that workaholism can improve productivity between managers of NAJA and increasing feelings of being driven to work will result in productivity enhancement.
