Evaluation of the effect of perceived urban and city cohesion patterns on human behavior patterns in urban public spaces(Case Study: Valiasr St., Tehran)
One of the important issues in relation to public spaces is the anthropological concept followed by ethics in urban spaces. The present study evaluates the effect of the perception of building and city connectivity on human behavior patterns in the public spaces of the city. The existence of continuity between the building and the city in terms of the coherence of the spaces and the quality of it is considered to be a fundamental condition. The perception of space contiguousness and the determination of the criteria for assessing their quality by citizens plays an important role in their behavioral patterns. The research hypothesis claims that the level of perception and criteria of continuity of the building and the city is different and its effect on behavior patterns will also be different from the space and culture of the beneficiaries of space. The present proposition is presented in two sequences from Vali Asr, Tehran, which includes the following sequences: (First sequence: from Valiasr Square to Valiasr crossroad and the second sequence: From the railway field to intersection of Mowlawi). The methodology of this research is a descriptive-analytic research method at theoretical level, using empirical method using a survey method, which is based on fuzzy logic framework. The results of the research show that there is a change between the level of perceived city-building connotation and the city with human behavior patterns, but the criteria for the continuity of buildings and city in urban public spaces vary in different spaces according to the amount and type of behavior of citizens.
