Effect of plant density (seedling in each hill) on yield and yield components of rice (Oryza Sativa sativa L.) varieties onderin climatic conditions of the west part of Gguilan Province, Iran climatic condition

Abstract:
This study was conducted In order to determine the most suitable plant density on the yield and yield components of rice varieties. A, a factorial experiment based on a randomized complete block design with three replications was performed in Astara region. in 008. Twith two factors were considered in this experiment, consisting of of plant density in at five levels (,, 5, 7 and 9 seedling in each hill) and five varieties of rice (Hashemi, Dorfac, Line 8, Neda and Sepidrood). under randomized complete block design with three replication was performed in 008 in Astara region. Physiological and morphological characteristics like Characters of plant height of plant, length of panicle length, 000 seedss weight, number of tillers in bushplant, number of kernel in per panicle, number of hollow empty and filled seeds kernel inper panicle, number of filled kernel in panicle, paddy yield in of paddy in hill, biomass in a of hill, harvest index, biomass in eaach of total plot, paddy yield per of paddy of plot and paddy yield per of paddy in hectare were measured and recordedtested.. The results showed a significant differencees between varieties for plant height of plant, length of panicle, number of tillers perin bushplant, number of kernel seeds perin panicle, number of filled empty seedsnad hollow kernel in per panicle, biomass at of hill and plot levels, paddy yield of paddy in at plot and hectare levels. Indeed, and wase a significant differencees were found between plant densities for length of panicle, number of tillers in per plantbush, number of kernel seed perin panicle, number of filled kernel seeds perin panicle, harvest index, biomass in per plot, yields (in plot and hectare). IInteractional effects of varieties genotype and plant densities were also found, indicating showed a significant differences for the panicle length of panicle, 000 seeds weight, harvest index, biomass of total plot, paddy yield (of paddy of plot and hectare). The highestHigher grain yield of grain (809 kg/ha) was obtained for in the three seedling density of three seedling in aeach hill. In respect of yield production, tThere was not a significant differencees between all varieties that ranged from fromfor the yield of paddy (96 to- 7 kg/ha,) in hectare among the varieties except the line 8 that where produced had the lowest paddy yield (859 kg/ha). Sepidrood variety with nine and one seedlings in each hill presented the had highestr and the lower lowest yield, (66.6 and 7. kg/ha), respectively, among the varieties tested. It is concluded that plant densities of one seedling per hill for Neda and nine seedlings per hill for Sepidroud varieties are recommended.
