Today, serious concerns about the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, the need to use clean resources, and government incentive plans have increased the penetration level of using renewable resources and using electric cars. In the meantime, the share of energy produced by solar photovoltaic panels is increasing significantly around the world. However, the expansion of the use of solar panels and electric vehicles on a large-scale causes problems such as voltage imbalance, excessive increase in its range and reverse power distribution, which makes the power quality indicators in the distribution network face serious risks. Methods In this study, the effects of the use of solar panels and the entry of electric vehicles into the distribution network have been evaluated in the percentage of different intrusions for a part of the distribution network in the city of Mashhad in Iran, and then soft open point (SOP) switches have been used to manage power distribution. In order to determine the optimal position of using SOPs, the imperialist competitive algorithm based on chaos has been used by MATLAB software, and DIgSILENT Power Factory software is used to evaluate the amount of violations in the voltage profile of network buses.

Abstract- The aim of this study is to investigate writings to find out the mood of people in typing texts. In this study, 14640 tweets related to airlines were used to analyze emotions in three categories: positive, negative and neutral. The novel proposed approach has three main steps. In the first step, we perform a pre-processing operation to purify the dataset. In the second step, using the Imperialist Competitive Algorithm (ICA), the main keywords from all the existing texts are extracted. Keywords are the words that have the most impact on categorization. Then, a convolution neural network (CNN) is exploited to extract more features. In the last step, classification, using a multilayer perceptron neural network (MLP), is applied. In the proposed new method, unlike the conventional methods in which words go to the next stage after preprocessing, we use the Imperialist Competitive Algorithm to extract the main words from all these words, which in turn causes There is a significant reduction in the volume of input words.using this new proposed approach, we achieved precision, accuracy and recall of 0.990, 0.983 and 0.875, respectively. The experimental results indicated the superiority of the proposed method the comparison with other well-known approaches.

Wireless sensor networks are often located in areas where access to them is difficult or dangerous. Today, in wireless sensor networks, cluster-based routing protocols by dividing sensor nodes into distinct clusters and selecting local head-clusters to combine and send information of each cluster to the base station and balanced energy consumption by network nodes, get the best performance in terms of increasing longevity and preservation network coverage as compared to other routine methods. Their main purpose is to control the danger area and transfer data to a sink. Therefore, connecting to sensor networks and coverage rate of controlled area is one of the most important concerns to achieve these goals. In this paper, to cluster wireless sensor networks, a method using the Imperialistcompetitive evolutionary algorithm is purposed that divides wireless sensor nodes into balanced clusters, in addition to, several mobile robots has been used for improving power dissipation of network, to assist in the transmission of sensor networks and improve network connectivity and coverage rate of the controlled area. In this research, the sensor network is based on an islets-based topology that has been used robots to detect and enhance connectivity and cover cavities that are largely around the sensors. The simulation results show that our new model can greatly improve the network coverage connectivity criteria. The simulation results show its successful performance in increasing longevity of the wireless sensor network.

Meta-heuristic algorithms inspired by the natural processes are part of the optimization algorithms that they have been considered in recent years, such as genetic algorithm, particle swarm optimization, ant colony optimization, Firefly algorithm. Recently, a new kind of evolutionary algorithm has been proposed that it is inspired by the human sociopolitical evolution process. This new algorithm has been called Imperialist Competitive Algorithm (ICA). The ICA is a population-based algorithm where the populations are represented by countries that are classified as colonies or imperialists. This paper is going to present a modified ICA with considerable accuracy, referred to here as ICA2. The ICA2 is tested with six well-known benchmark functions. Results show high accuracy and avoidance of local optimum traps to reach the minimum global optimal.Three important policies are in the ICA, and assimilation policy is the most important of them. This research focuses on an assimilation policy in the ICA to propose a meta-heuristic optimization algorithm for optimizing function with high accuracy and avoiding to trap in local optima rather than using original ICA by a new assimilation strategy.

Load balancing can be used to extend the lifetime of a Mesh Network and thus reducing the traffic congestion and improving the network performance. Various approaches have been proposed for load balancing in WMN. This study takes a closer look at existing solutions with the application of clustering techniques to solve routing and congestion control problems because it offers scalability and enhances the availability of network and reduced overheads. The nature of the problem of clustering is NP-hard and using meta-heuristic and evolutionary algorithms can build stable and relatively efficient clusters. This paper proposes a new clustering algorithm method in WMN networks and divide the network into k clusters to manage the load in small scale and hence to reduce the overall load of WMNs. This algorithm is a centralized method and it is designed on the basis of an imperialist competitive algorithm (ICA). A WMN is divided into multiple clusters for load control and each gateway served even number of node. A cluster head estimates traffic load in its cluster. As the estimated load gets higher, the cluster head increases the routing metrics of the routes passing through the cluster. The simulation results show that the performance of the WMNs is improved with the proposed clustering method.

The traveling salesman problem (TSP) is the problem of finding the shortest tour through all the nodes that a salesman has to visit. The TSP is probably the most famous and extensively studied problem in the field of combinatorial optimization. Because this problem is an NP-hard problem, practical large-scale instances cannot be solved by exact algorithms within acceptable computational times. So, an efficient hybrid metaheuristic algorithm called ICATS is proposed in this paper. The first stage of the ICATS is to solve the TSP by the imperialist competitive algorithm (ICA), and then the TS is used for improving solutions. This process avoids the premature convergence and makes better solutions. Computational results on several standard instances of TSP show efficiency of the proposed algorithm compared with the genetic algorithm (GA), bee colony optimization (BCO), and particle swarm optimization (PSO).
