Analysis of Factors Affecting Technology Transfer Effectiveness by Fuzzy If-Then Rules

Technology is widely accepted as necessary for improving development programs to achieve higher living standards, especially in developing countries where industrial growth plays a very significant role. There are many aspects in the transfer process that need to be considered and a number of potential barriers to overcome. Many of the TT projects fail to produce desired results due to lack of careful planning. In order to provide understanding of TT’s influential factors for both parties, this paper adopted the method of FAHP to determine and prioritize the importance of these factors in Irankhodro Company (IKCO). Also, this study develops a Fuzzy rule-based analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of TT. It helps this company to evaluate the feasibility of TT. This study finds that government, product life cycle, market scale and complexity of technology are highly influential. These factors must be considered when the company decides to implement TT activity.
