Study of the relationship between sex and gender role with the level of resiliency

Abstract:
The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between sex and gender role, and Resilience. Research Method were correlation. The study population consisted of all first year students in Saqez city high schools, (4075) at 2010-2011 academic year. The research sample included 200 students (100 females and 100 males) were selected with a multi-stage random cluster sampling method. To collect data, two questionnaires were used: gender role Bem's and Connor and Davidson's resiliency scale were used. For data analysis, descriptive statistics and inferential statistics such as mean, standard deviation, two-way analysis of variance were used. Findings showed that the relationship between sex and resiliencies were rejected; the role of gender was effective on differences of level resiliency. Androgyny, without respect of sex, have effect on resiliency. Also result showed that the third hypothesis in relation with interaction of sex and role of gender on level of resilience was not approved.
