The relationship between family cohesion, adaptability and communication with life satisfaction and personal well-being among female students

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between family cohesion, adaptability and communication and life satisfaction and personal well-being among female students in Ahvaz high schools. The sample consisted of 190 high school girls selected through random cluster sampling method. The participants completed four questionnaires (Family Adaptability and Cohesion Evaluation Scale, Family Comm-unication Scale, Brief Multi-dimensional Life Satisfaction Scale and Personal Well being Index-School students). The results indicated that family cohesion, adaptability and communication were positively corre-lated with life satisfaction and personal well-being. Stepwise regression analysis showed that family cohesion and communication could predict life satisfaction and personal well-being.
