Designing a psychological empowerment program based on Shafiabadi's multilevel career model and comparing its effectiveness with Thomas and Velthouse's cognitive model among high school counselors in Rasht city

In this study, the effectiveness of two training programs based on Shafiabadi's multilevel career model and Thomas and Velthouse's cognitive model on the amount of psychological empowerment were compared. The research method was quasi-experimental design (pre- test and post-test type with control group). The research population included all male and female counselors who worked in the two poles of education in Rasht city. 60 people who obtained the lowest grade in research inventory and were ready to participate in training program, selected as the sample randomly proportionally and placed in three groups containing 20 subjects in each group (two experimental groups and one control group). Psychological empowerment inventory was used for data collection which validated by researcher. Using factor analysis, it was found that the questionnaire is a saturation factor. Single-variable covariance and Bonferroni test was used to analyze the data. The results indicated that the effect of training programs based on two model was significant (P
