Self-awareness as God-awareness in Mulla Sadra's Philosophy

Abstract:
Objectivity is among the most profound problems contemplated by philosophers. Both Mulla Sadra and Kant, as Islamic and Western philosophers, have profoundly addressed this problem. The present research tries to show that the problems around knowledge stated by Mulla Sadra can be more logically understood through principles of his ontology (i.e. graduation of being and the particularly of the human soul), and through his own initiatives such as creativity of the soul and its substantial motion, as well as the unity of knower and the known. Accordingly, we then follow the implications and results of this ontological solution and will compare it with Kant’s epistemological solution.
