Personality characteristics, irrational beliefs, and communication skills as Pridictors school counselor's job performance

Abstract:
Given that human resources are considered as one of the most important assets of any organization¡ investigation and identification of factors associated with these resources¡ which can be effective on job performance¡ have become increasingly important. The purpose of the present study was to predict the counselors job performance based on their personality characteristics¡ irrational beliefs and communication skills. Papulation of the study¡ was all the counselors working in Tehran schools during the academic year2016-2017¡ that among they 283 counselor select using clustering random sampling method and responded to Paterson''s Job Performance¡ NEO Personality¡ Ahvaz Irrational B¡and Barton Gs Communication Skills Questionares. Data using Pearson correlation¡ and regression analysis statistical methods and by SPSS-22 software. The results showed that personality characteristics (conscientiousness and extraversion) averbal skills are prediction positively counselors job performance.Results can be used in ¡ training programs and of school counselors.
