The Necessity of Passages of Spirit in Hegel's Phenomenology

Abstract:
In this paper, Hegel’s claim is studied that passages of spirit in phases of Phenomenology are necessary. We try to investigate Hegel’s intention of necessity of these passages. For this goal, different meanings of necessity are expressed and we peruse which meaning is Hegel’s intention of necessity of these passages. Then the Views of Mc.taggart, Hulgate, Findlay, Lauer and Kaufmann about necessary passages of spirit in phases of Phenomenology are declared. Based on conclusions of study of these Views and Hegel’s criticisms of philosophy works of predecessors, we suggest an outline that involves these various comments. We believe that Hegel’s necessity of spirit passages in Phenomenology is raised on his philosophical procedure that is placed between Romantic procedure and Enlightenmental one; in fact, in Phenomenology, Hegel tries to establish a new approach to philosophy which based on, necessity doesn’t place either in the side of subject or object, but it located in the center of development of spirit.
