Abstract:
Effective relationship is an absolute prerequisite for marital stability and a successful life. Accordingly, the purpose of this study was to identify the indices of effective marital relationship. This study was done with qualitative research and grounded theory method. 15 men and women were studied using voluntary, and snowball sampling method and semi-structured interviews and according to the criteria for entering the research until theoretical saturation was obtained. The data were recorded, coded and classified in the form of concepts, sub-categories and categories. The analysis of the participants’ experiences led to the identification of 270 secondary codes, 36 concepts, 12 sub- categories and 4 main categories including individual, couple, family and spiritual indices. Given the prevention and treatment, perceiving the indices of effective marital relationship can be useful in delivering the necessary information for couples’ effective relationship training and also providing the couples who have ineffective marital relationship with appropriate interventions.
