Qualitative Research in Indigenous Knowledge Survival of Community Businesses in iran

Abstract:
In the peresen study, through qualitative research, current situation od cloak and klim businrsses of Mohammadieh neighborhood of Naien were investigated. Partisipants are woven and local authorities who have been selected base on saturation and snowball techniques. The findings of the research indicate that the kelim and Cloak handwoven businesses continue their activities because of tourism attraction, but factors affecting the decline of this industry can be divided into four categories: Economic factors, socio-cultural factors, Governmental factors and environmental and Physical factors. By integrated planning in these four categories factors and using modern knowledge to maintain and develop indigenous knowledge of local communities handicrafts and knowledge management in this field can pave the way for empowering indigenous people and making optimal use of indigenous capacities and provide boosting the economic and dynamism of local communities.
