In the present study, with the assumption of the impact of illegal immigration on the criminal capacity of the studied population, attempts were made to investigate the negative consequences of immigration with a preventive aim in a comprehensive manner. Therefore, the present study aims to investigate the effect of the presence of foreign nationals on the possibility of crime in the cities of Kerman and Jiroft.
In this study, referring to the Kerman and Jiroft Jurist courts, the case files related to the subject of research were examined and the variables were assessed by forming a focal group and interviewing and completing the questionnaire. The statistical population of the study included all Afghan and Iranian offenders in prisons in Kerman and Jiroft (220 and 88, respectively). According to Morgan’s curriculum, 132 and 56 questionnaires were distributed among prisoners. In Jiroft, due to the limited community, all individuals were selected as samples. The statistical population of the documentary part was also related to judicial cases in the courts of Kerman (2792 cases) and Jiroft (191 cases) in the years 1391 and 1392. After collecting data, correlation coefficient test was used to determine the relationship between components and T-test to check the difference between variables.
The results showed that Afghan citizens living in Jiroft County are more at risk and migrants in Kerman are more offenders. There is also a direct relationship between the status of residence and the level of crime in Afghan perpetrators, and those who do not have a residence card are committing heavier offenses; this is true of the funds that they intend to return to Afghanistan.
