Evaluation of Attention to the Components of Citizenship Education in High School Social Studies Curriculum Content at Shahrekord City
The aim of this research was to analyze the content of social studies book in terms of attention to the citizenship education components. In order to do this, the components of responsibility, active participation, law-abidingness (legality), patriotism and thought were chosen. The method of research was descriptive. By using of Shannon entropy content analyzing technique, the information and importance coefficient of each components indexes of citizenship skills at social studies book were calculated and the amount of attention to any one of citizenship education components were indicated. In this way, first the number of words or the image which noticed to the under study component were specified, then by using Shannon entropy technique it was cleared that listed research tools of executive functions were based on scientific executive functions which researcher had codified them already and validity and reliability of its content verified by 10 experts and information load and importance coefficient of each components indexes at social studies book were calculated. The results showed that the highest importance coefficient was related to active participation and lowest importance coefficient was related to law-abidingness component.
