Investigating the Serial Murders of Mohammad Bijeh from the Perspective of Developmental criminology

Serial killings have a special place from a criminological point of view. In fact, why some people, such as Mohammad Bijeh, kill multiple victims is a major issue in criminology. The aim of the present study is to investigate the commission of serial murders of Mohammad Bijeh from the perspective of developmental criminology.

The present study is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in terms of method. Through a case study and in coordination with law enforcement authorities, it investigates the criminal case of the offender and based on the principles of developmental criminology theory, to describe and analyze risk factors. The crime was addressed in the personality and developmental process of the offender.

The results of the present study showed that the killer is guilty of any reason for the murder and, except in exceptional cases, no evidence has been accepted as to the persons who motivated the murder, but from the point of view of progressive criminology They look at the family and society in which the person grew up and the factors that motivated the killer, and this view of the killer and the reason for the serial killings is fundamentally different. If all aspects of serial murder in criminal law are developed with the help of growing criminology, it can find more precise reasons for the motive for the murder, which will be useful both in arresting murderers in the future and by cultivating culture and raising public awareness.
