A Field Study on Realization of Family Interaction with Communication Technologies (Case study: Nehbandan Families in 2019)1
The present study tries to provide a paradigm model of the realization of families' interaction with communication technologies from the perspective and interpretations of the participants, using a qualitative approach based on the method of Grounded Theory. Participants in this study included 13 members of families from Nehbandan with different occupations who were selected by theoretical sampling method in person and voluntarily. Research data were collected using semi-structured and unstructured interviews based on three basic questions of what, why and how the subject is. The results of Abductive explanation show that families interact with communication technologies from their point of view in different dimensions due to positive and creative conditions. Families are influenced by communication technology, and the strategies that families adopt in interaction with these technologies, which consequently have several consequences, are interpreted in the form of life space. Realization of families' interaction with communication technology is formed based on their life space. The dominant space of the family means the space and conditions of interaction in order to increase knowledge, creativity, decision making and problem solving within the family .
