Investigation of the effects of citizens' mental impression of the power of the police in coastal cities on feeling social security (case study: Chalous)

Providing citizens with security has great effect on cultural, economic and  social efficiency of the citizens and directly influence the level of welfare they feel. Promotion of civil security can be studied from different angles. One of the most important issues is the factors that form mental impression of citizens about fear from city and society. In the present study the role citizens’ mental impression of the power of the police has on feeling of security is investigated. The method is descriptive- analytical and questionnaire has been used to carry out the survey. In order to do this, correlation tests of Spearman and comparison of averages ( T test) have been used. The results shows a direct relation between the power of the police and level of security citizens feel.
