Methodology of Capacity Analysis in the Iran's Multi-lane Roads

Capacity is one of the most important factors in most constructions, designs and evaluations in the field of transportation planning and road engineering. Capacity awareness, along with measuring existing traffic demand and predicting future traffic demand, allows the traffic engineer to design and plan transportation facilities in a way that effectively meets the needs of the community. In this paper, while reviewing the common methods of analyzing the capacity of multi-lane roads, an attempt is made to present the localized method in Iran.
