The Analysis of Marital behavior and intention of young people in Tehran from the perspective of marital paradigm
In Iranian society, marriage and family formation have seen many structural and functional changes under the influence of various factors. Currently, to explain the tendency of young people towards marriage, theoretical research on marriage has been used. This paradigm affects marital behavior and intention by two systems of beliefs, one "belief in getting married" and "belief in staying married" in the form of 6 magnitudes of timing, process, salience, permanence, background and centrality of marriage. This study was conducted by the "survey" method and its statistical population was "all young boys and girls living in Tehran in 1401". Sampling is of "multi-stage sampling" type and the sample size is equal to 355 people. The data collection tool, "Questionnaire" and the validity of the concepts were calculated through face and construct validity as well as reliability with the help of Cronbach's alpha test. The results show that about half of the young people studied in Tehran have binding marital behavior, which normatively indicates that there is no relationship with the opposite sex. In examining the relationship between the two systems of "belief in getting married" and "belief in staying married", it can be seen that the binding marital behavior of young people is more affected by changes in the "belief in staying married" system than "belief in getting married". In other words, young people who have binding relationships with the opposite sex at different levels. In maintaining, future marital roles and roles are better and function.
