The effect of organizational social capital on the organizational performance of employees(Case of study: employees of police stations of Shiraz police command

Abstract:

Organizational social capital is a collection of resources that a person gets by being in the network of relationships that the organization provides to him. Today, organizations play a very important role in people's lives. Most of people's lives are spent in organizations or in connection with organizations, and every organization accomplishes goals for people by performing multiple and specialized tasks, and the manner and extent of achieving goals can be evaluated under the title of organizational performance. Therefore, it can be said that the life of the organization depends on the correct performance of the employees. On the other hand, along with economic capital, physical capital, information and communication technology and human capital, social capital has also received increasing attention in organizations. Therefore, in this research, the goal of the researcher is to investigate the impact of organizational social capital on the organizational performance of police officers in Shiraz metropolis. The current research is a survey type, using the probability sampling method and random technique, using the standard questionnaire of Hersey and Goldsmith and the social capital of Nahabit and Ghoshal to collect data in a statistical population of 697 people (24 police stations in Shiraz city) and with a sample size of 250 people among police station employees. Shiraz metropolis, and variance analysis, Student's T, Pearson, regression, path analysis and spss software were used. The findings of the statistical tests show a significant relationship between the variables, the degree of correlation of relational social capital (p=0.514), cognitive social capital (p=0.512), structural social capital (p=0.480) as independent variables of the hypothesis. And the organizational performance of the employees is the dependent variable of the research hypotheses. Also, in the regression analysis, the independent variables explained about 30.1% of the variance of the dependent variable. The obtained results indicate
