Illustrating the role of special economic zones in creating security and sustainable development (Case Study: Nowshahr special economic zone

The security category is one of the most influential factors in the prosperity of free zones. In this regard, considering the effectiveness of police command in the social sphere, social security and its effects are also very important. The objective of this work is to explain the role of special economic zones in creating security and sustainable development in Nowshahr. This research is a practical and descriptive-analytical survey. In this research, exploratory studies and interviews have been used to collect the theoretical foundations. In this regard, interviews have been conducted with citizens and the current challenges of security compared to before in Nowshahr city from citizens' viewpoint. Therefore, security indicators and their changes were analyzed and to analyze the data, SPSS software was used. The sample included 381 citizens from eleven urban neighborhoods and suburbs of Nowshahr by cluster method. The findings indicate that there is a significant difference between the past and current police roles. Generally, theft and moral abnormalities are considered to be the most important factors affecting the social security of the region, and some measures and developments in the field of security by the police command have had a noticeable impact in the direction of positive social changes and developments.
