Abstract:
The aim of the present study was to study the factor structure, invariance and adaptability of The Sense of Relational Entitlement Scale-Revised (SRE-R) in Iranian society. This research was practical based on the purpose and correlational in terms of data analysis. The statistical population of this study included all married teachers in Zanjan province in 2022 that using the convenience sampling method provided the data of this research by completing The Sense of Relational Entitlement-Revised measure and some other scales. The findings of this study indicated a two-factor structure in this scale. The results showed that most of the items, except for two items, had fit with the graded response model and the items of the inflated sense of entitlement were more homogeneous than the restricted sense of entitlement items. The findings demonstrated the appropriate reliability of this scale. The fit indices were optimized in the whole sample and subgroups. The AVE index was not very proper in both factors, especially in the restricted sense of entitlement. The calculation of discriminant validity with different methods indicated its establishment at the level of the both factors. Gender invariance was confirmed for this measure. According to the correlation coefficients between this construct and other studied variables, the convergent and divergent validity of this scale was confirmed too. Given to the findings of the present study, it can be said that The Sense of Relational Entitlement-Revised has optimal psychometric properties for use in the future researches.
