Abstract:

Law, as a system governing social interactions, is shaped by real-world events, though these facts only enter the legal domain after a series of stages. Historically, the invention of the printing press and steam engine marked pivotal moments that led to the creation and growth of intellectual property law. These innovations revolutionized human life and compelled the legal system to recognize a new form of property—intellectual property. Additionally, intellectual property rights played a crucial role in fostering societal development by offering exclusive rights to inventors. This article explores the connection between intellectual property rights and technology, with particular attention to green innovations. As technological advances have brought about environmental challenges, the demand for green inventions and sustainable solutions has grown. In conclusion, intellectual property rights emerged alongside technological progress and mass production capabilities, and have significantly contributed to technological development since their inception. Today, these rights are vital for the advancement of a knowledge-based economy. Green inventions serve as a clear example of this relationship, representing human efforts to mitigate environmental risks, while the law works to support and regulate these innovations.
