Identifying the dimensions and components of the digital university: a qualitative approach and validation with the Delphi method

Abstract:

The current research was done with the aim of designing a model of a digital university.The present research method was qualitative and meta-composite. The research community included all 2600 articles and books, out of which 81 documents were selected and analyzed using open, central and selective coding methods.Glynn critical tool was used to ensure the quality of documents. Delphi method was used to check the validity of dimensions and components. For this purpose, a researcher-made questionnaire with 25 items, which was collected and analyzed from the qualitative results of the research obtained in two rounds of Delphi, was distributed among a total of 20 experts through purposive sampling.the study showed that the digital university includes dimensions such as Educational and Research dimension (digital learning, digital lesson environment, digital library, digital curriculum, digital Education, digital Multimedia Resources), Management dimension (digital knowledge Management, digital university organizational Resource Management, digital Planning, digital Evaluation System, digital Human Resource Management, digital quality Assurance), organizational dimension (digital Policies and laws, digital culture, digital Interactions and Communications, digital Structure and organization, digital organizational Processes, digital Work Environment). organizational dimensions provide the necessary organizational context and conditions for the realization of a digital university. Finally, the Technological dimension (digital Technology Platform, digital content Management, and digital Support) has been identified, which is one of the most decisive dimensions and has emphasized digital technology.
