Abstract:
With the changing nature of wars, advanced armies have been using fundamental changes in their combat organization and the use of new technologies for more than three decades, utilizing unmanned systems to perform many tasks and complete their missions. It is evident that the ground battlefield cannot and should not ignore the importance of having a well-defined model for the use of these systems. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to design a model for the use of remotely-controlled devices on the ground battlefield. The present research is applied developmental in terms of purpose and is part of exploratory research in terms of method. The statistical population of the research includes 70 senior officers with at least a master's degree, familiar with the latest technologies regarding remotely-controlled devices, with backgrounds in strategic, operational, and tactical positions, and familiarity with the future war environment. Therefore, the sample size is equal to the statistical population and is a complete enumeration. Thus, by extracting the dimensions, components, and items of using remotely-controlled devices on the ground battlefield through exploratory study and continuous and meticulous thinking on the theoretical foundations and research literature, as well as interviews with experts, and evaluating them from the perspective of five criteria, and combining and modifying the effective factors, a model for the use of remotely-controlled devices in ground operations was developed
