Predicting Forgiveness Based On Virtual Addiction By Studying The Mediating Role Of Demographic Variables Among The Youth Of Tehran

Today, with the spread of the phenomenon of virtual addiction, many moral aspects and personal values ​​have been affected. In this regard, the present study was designed and implemented in order to study the relationship between virtual addiction and forgiveness (the past), and the main goal of this research is to predict forgiveness based on virtual addiction with the mediation of contextual variables among the youth of Tehran metropolis.

 This research is applied in terms of purpose and causal in terms of type, which was carried out by correlation method with survey technique and the measurement tool is questionnaire. The statistical population includes all young people aged 20 to 38 living in Tehran, the sample of which is 384 people who were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling.

The results of the data analysis showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between the age of the studied youth in Tehran with the behavioral dimension, the belief dimension and all dimensions of forgiveness, and the higher the age of the youth, the behavioral and belief dimensions and the overall situation Their forgiveness is higher and more. There is a positive and significant relationship between the educational level of the studied youth in Tehran with the behavioral dimension, the belief dimension and all the dimensions of forgiveness, but there is still no significant relationship between education and the cognitive dimension and the emotional dimension.

The results in the study of the effect of gender show a negative and significant relationship between being a woman with cognitive, emotional, and religious dimensions and all dimensions of forgiveness, which means that women have a lower status than men in the three dimensions of cognitive, emotional, and religious dimensions of forgiveness. And the variable of gender (being a woman) has made their recognition, belief and even their emotions and feelings towards forgiveness and forgiveness to be different and less than that of men. Being single has had a negative and significant relationship with the dimension of belief and all dimensions of forgiveness.
