Abstract:
Objective

The objective of this study is to analyze the scientific productions indexed in relation to the organizational knowledge repository in the Web of Science database and to create a scientific map of this field.Research

Method

This applied research was conducted using a scientometric approach. Data retrieval was carried out using the advanced search feature of the Web of Science database. By searching the keyword "organizational knowledge repository" in the topic field, 2,648 articles were retrieved. The data were refined and standardized before being entered into scientometric software for analysis and map creation. Ultimately, the Bibliometrix package in the R software was utilized to generate the scientific maps.

Findings

The findings revealed that a total of 2,648 records in the desired subject area are indexed in the Web of Science database. The United States ranks first with 819 records, followed by the United Kingdom (211 records) and Spain (190 records). Based on the data retrieved, the scientific map of this domain was created, showing that the scientific structure of the organizational knowledge repository consists of 11 main thematic clusters. The first cluster, with 21 keywords, was identified as the largest. Clusters on organizational repositories and higher education appeared in the central but underdeveloped sections, indicating potential areas for future research expansion. The most frequent keyword was institutional repositories, appearing 377 times. Among the keywords of indexed articles, Computer Science, Information Systems & Information Science & Library Science exhibited the highest co-occurrence. In this domain, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Spain had the highest scientific outputs, while Harvard University had the highest research output.

Conclusion

This study highlights significant lexical relationships, leading individuals and organizations, and the research trends in this field over various years. It identifies the most frequently used and referenced subject areas within the domain of organizational knowledge repositories. However, a lack of correlation was observed in the application of organizational knowledge repositories across different scientific disciplines, and gaps were identified in the scientific structure of this field.
