Suspended sediment yield estimation on the Qara- Chay river subbasins in Hamedan Province

In this study suspended sediment yield on the Qara-Chay river sub-basins (Hamedan Province) on the basis of 24 years of data collection (1971-1995) in 11 hydrometric stations by using the sediment rating curve was estimated The suspended sediment yield ranges from 662.0 to 54044.8 tons/year (in the 2nd Ekbatan dam and Khomigan sub-basins, respectively). The results show the power model (Y=aXb), which has the highest correlation of determination (R2), is the best relationship between the suspended sediment and the discharge of water.
