Metasomatic mineralization in Galali iron deposite (NW Hamedan)

Field abservation, microscopic and geochemical studies on four wells in Galali iron deposit show this ore body were formed due to numerous igneous intrusions in the poripheral rocks which resulted a metasomatic implacement. These processes include formation of skarn, epidotization, carbonatazation and hydrothermal metasomatic mineralization. The mineralogic associations formed in the skarn include: andradite, epidote, calcite and quartz (minor). Other processes formed minerals such as pyrite, carbonate and other minor minerals (serpentine, ilvite, vesuvianite and fluorite).
