Social Capital: its correlation with villainy and crime prevention

What is social capital? What are the sources of social capital? What are the effects of social capital on villainy and crime prevention? The present article is aimed to answer these questions. Social capital may have a mutual effect in contact with crime. On one hand, high levels of social capital can help the crime prevention by encouraging people; On the other hand, the existence and formation of negative social capitals among gangs shouldn’t be neglected. It is suggested that instead of unnecessary interventions, the governments should consider social capitals and try to reinforce them.
