    Objective

The objective of this investigation was to examine the efficacy of transdiagnostic therapy in alleviating psychological distress, stress coping strategies, and Hypochondriasis among women.

    Methods

This study followed a semi-experimental design, focusing on practical applications, and employed a pre-test, post-test design with a control group for data collection. The sample size was determined to be 384 individuals using Morgan's formula, from which 30 married women were selected and divided into two groups of 15 for both the experimental and control groups. The research employed Chalder's fatigue questionnaire (1993), Andrew Parker's stress coping style questionnaire (1990), and Evans' hypochondria questionnaire (1980) as the data collection instruments. The intervention consisted of ten training sessions over two and a half months, with each session lasting 90 minutes and occurring once a week. Analysis of covariance was conducted using SPSS version 18 software to test the hypotheses.

    Results

The findings of the data analysis indicated that transdiagnostic therapy has a significant impact on mental fatigue among women. Furthermore, transdiagnostic treatment also influences women's stress coping style and hypochondriasis.

    Conclusions

The discoveries may yield practical implications that are beneficial to practitioners and scholars specializing in stress and anxiety within the field of therapy and counselling.

    Objective

The primary objective of the current research was to carry out a sociological analysis regarding the level of adherence to professional sports ethics within Iranian society.

    Methods

The research methodology entailed conducting investigations in nine cities and across seven sports disciplines, with a sample size of 1765 players in the year 2019. Additionally, fifty exploratory interviews were conducted with experts in the field.

    Results

The findings of the research indicate that the nonexistence of political programs, coupled with deficiencies in the implementation, supervision, and monitoring within the structures and systems of club ownership, serve as the underlying cause for the noncompliance of young athletes with rules, regulations, and professional standards. Moreover, the inefficiency in the field of education, as well as the lack of knowledge and awareness pertaining to professional and ethical charters and regulations, are among the prominent factors contributing to the lawlessness exhibited by young athletes. As part of the solutions, expediting the process of privatization, mandating the teaching of ethical codes in all fields, formulating and consolidating rules and regulations for the legal control and supervision of sports publications, issuing fan cards, enforcing stringent regulations, and implementing bans in cases of abnormality can all contribute to the enhancement of the sporting environment and the promotion of lawfulness within sports. The research data demonstrate a direct correlation between seeking counseling services and the incidence of unprofessional and illicit conduct.

    Conclusions

The findings generally show that counseling centers can play a decisive role in preventing unprofessional and illicit behaviors of athletes.

    Objective

Nahj al-Balaghah encompasses guidance for all facets of human existence, whereby adherence to its teachings can lead to an enhanced quality of life, societal dynamics, and governance. Among the various dimensions of familial life, child rearing occupies a position of paramount importance. Thus, the objective of this research endeavors to enhance the efficacy of instructing parenting styles based on Nahj al-Balagheh on behavioral outcomes in students.

    Methods

Behavioral outcomes were assessed among students, with the statistical population consisting of all students exhibiting behavioral consequences and their respective parents. Employing cluster sampling as the sampling technique, a sample size of 30 parents and their children was selected. These parents were subsequently assigned to either the experimental or control group, with the experimental group undergoing 8 sessions focused on parenting styles derived from Nahj al-Balaghah. The data was collected through a questionnaire examining behavioral consequences and subjected to statistical analysis of covariance.

    Results

The findings indicate that the instruction of parenting styles based on Nahj al-Balaghah exerts a positive influence on the behavioral outcomes of students.

    Conclusions

The findings, in general, provide evidence to substantiate the efficacy of parental education that is rooted in religious texts, in terms of its impact on the behavioral outcomes of children.

    Objective

The present investigation aimed to explore the efficacy of schema therapy in enhancing the dimensions of interpersonal relationships among individuals undergoing treatment for drug addiction in the city of Sirjan (Iran).

    Methods

The research design employed was a semi-experimental approach, incorporating both control and experimental groups. The target population consisted of all drug addicts receiving treatment in Sirjan, while the sample size comprised 30 individuals, selected through the convenience sampling method and divided into two experimental groups (15 individuals each) and a control group (15 individuals). The experimental groups underwent schema therapy for a duration of 8 sessions, while data were collected using an interpersonal relationship questionnaire. The obtained data were subjected to statistical analysis of covariance using SPSS software version 26.

    Results

The findings of the data analysis revealed that the treatment protocol effectively influenced interpersonal relationships and their various dimensions, leading to improvement.

    Conclusion

    Objective

The primary objective of this research endeavor was to examine the efficacy of a sex education program in enhancing the body-esteem of young students in elementary school.

    Methods

This study adopted an experimental approach, employing a pre-test-post-test design with a control group. The statistical population encompassed all girls attending primary schools in Shiraz during the academic year of 2021. Through random sampling, a total of 30 female students were selected, divided equally into an experimental group and a control group, comprising 15 students each. To assess body-esteem, the Body-Esteem Scale (Franzoi & Shields, 1984) was utilized.

    Results

The results of the covariance analysis revealed that the F statistic for the body-esteem variable attained a significant level of 0.001. This finding indicates that the implementation of the sex education package for elementary school children has exerted a positive and significant impact on their body-esteem.

    Conclusions

In summary, the outcomes of this study underscore the efficacy of sex education in terms of its influence on the emotional and affective outputs in primary school students.

    Objective

Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) is a behavioral disorder that  young children with this disorder exhibit uncooperative, defiant, and hostile behaviors towards their peers, parents, teachers, and other authoritative figures. This particular investigation was undertaken with the aim of ascertaining the impact of emotion-oriented therapy on both the symptoms of defiant disorder and anxiety symptoms in children diagnosed with oppositional defiant disorder.

    Methods

A total of 30 children diagnosed with oppositional defiant disorder were selected utilizing purposive sampling technique and subsequently randomly allocated to experimental group (15 participants) and control group (15 participants). The data was collected through the utilization of the DSM-III-R diagnostic criteria for disruptive behavior disorders scale (Pelham et al., 1992) and Spence Children's Anxiety Scale (SCAS). The experimental group underwent eight treatment sessions to receive the necessary training.

    Results

The results were subsequently analyzed using the statistical procedure known as analysis of covariance. The findings indicated that emotion-oriented therapy possesses the ability to influence both the symptoms of defiant disorder and anxiety symptoms in children suffering from oppositional defiant disorder.

    Conclusions

Consequently, it is recommended that psychologists and school counselors utilize this particular treatment method in order to mitigate the symptoms associated with this disorder and reduce anxiety levels in these children.
