Abstract:
One of the Persian texts on Islamic mysticism available to US from 7th century (Lunar Calendar) is Āyeneh Jahān Namā (literally meaning a mirror in which you can see the reflection of the whole world) and Telesm Ganj Gosha written by a little known scholar named Abu- Sa‘id Mojtabā Yamani. The book covering mostly the topics of ethics and theosophy was dedicated by the author to Ahmad Khaledi Zanjāni, one of the ministers of the Mongolian period during 7th century. The text is written in simple prose and includes parables and mysterious hints. In many cases, the author had offered solutions to these mysteries and presented symbols after each parable. There is a great usage of verses, anecdotists, and mystic poems in this work of art. The author has taken into consideration some chapters of “Mersād al-‘Ebād” by Najm al-Din Rāzi.The Last section of this article is allotted to introduction of some hand-written copies of this work of art in credited libraries inside and outside of the countries.
