Investigation on the Effectiveness of Educational Tools to Improve Citizen's Traffic Culture

Traffic culture education is the main strategy for improvement of traffic condition, especially in metropolitan cities. Such education needs standard references and proper procedures to make it properly deliverable to the audience. Transferring educational contents is done by the grounds of media which are inseparable part of education and ease the way towards the goals. Therefore, the media is the agent for transferring educational issues and the educational tools are the main help for a good educational system. In this paper, firstly all the educational tools for traffic culture education are reviewed and classified upon their audience rate and level of effect. Then, AHP modeling was used to determine the importance of each tool. The results show that TV is the most effective tool with 54% level of effect and radio programs stand at the second place with the effectiveness rate of 20%.
