Hamidi Shirazi in the Light of his Works

Composing about forty thousand lines of poetry in half a century shows that Mahdi Hamidi Shirazi (1914) was an active poet. A major period of his literary life was dedicated to his love songs, mainly published in the collection of \"Ashk-e Mahtab\" (The Tears of the Moonlight). The poems in this collection reveal his pure feelings, honesty, and irritability. In his \"Black Years,\" he depicts a national-religious atmosphere. In his \"Ten Commandments,\" his words have a philosophical tint. His honesty, restraint from telling lies, and patriotism are reflected in his poems. The present research tries to critique and analyze his character through his works in order to show what issues caused opposition against him.
