The Relationship of Organizational Learning and Self - Efficacy to Work Engagement

Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to study the relationship of organizational learning and career self- efficacy to work engagement at Isfahan Steel Company. Descriptive correlational method was used in the current research. The research population consisted of 75 managers at Isfahan steel company. A sample of 62 participant were selected from this population. Research instruments were three questionnaires: Gomez، et. al’s (2005) organizational Learning، Betz’s (2004) career self –efficacy and Schaufeli، et. al’s (2006) work engagement. The Validity and reliability of all three questionnaires were verified by educational experts at 0. 93، 0. 92 0. 95 respectively. In this research، the Pearson correlation coefficient، variance analysis، multiple stepwise regression، path analysis were used. Findings showed that there was a significant relationship between organizational Learning (r=0. 32) managers’ work engagement and career self –efficacy (r=0. 36). The results of multiple regression also showed that work engagement directly affected organizational learning (β=0. 68).
