Abstract:
In order to evaluate usage of glycinebetaine in reduction of salinity stress at germination stage and early corn s، seeds growth، this study was conducted by factorial experiment inside completely randomized design with three replications. The first factor consist of two levels that saturated by 2 mili molar glycinebetaine and the second factor consist of seeds without saturated by glycinebetaine. Disinfected seeds soaked in 2 mili molar glycinebetaine for 24 hours. After that they were placed at dependable salinity level under germination test. Results showed that usage of glycinebetaine had significant effect on germination percentage، radicle length and peduncle length but had no effect on interaction between germination rate and germination duration. However، external usage of glycinebetaine moderated the effects of salinity، and also caused more increased in experimental traits than all traits of salinity strees without glycinebetaine. More increased was observed in high level of salinity strees.
