Study the Factors Affecting Sense of Social Security among Yazd Citizens

Abstract:
The aim of the present research is to study the factors affecting sense of social security among Yazd citizens. The research method was survey and the population was Yazd city citizens in the year of 1389. The research sample included 362 citizens who were selected in multistage cluster. The main instrument for gathering data was investigated questionnaire with suitable validity and reliability. The data analysis techniques were parson's correlation, T-test and stepwise multiple regression. The results showed that, there was a meaningful relationship between the sense of social security and variables such as sex, education, and income. Pearson's correlation showed the relationship between sense of social security and socio-economic status, sense of institutional control, interpersonal trust, social norms and social capital were direct and meaningful. Pearson's correlation also showed the relationship between sense of social security and sense of anemia was indirect and meaningful. Further, the regression analysis showed the two variables of sex and interpersonal trust explained 26 percent of variance of the dependent variable.
