An Investigation into the Socio-cultural Dimensions of the U.S. Soft War against the Islamic Republic of Iran
Author(s):
Abstract:
If creation of transformations in other communities by changing people’s attitudes and outlooks towards the rulers can be taken to be soft war, then this war displays a new model of the activities of the Western governments for extending their domination on different countries since domination and authority extend from power and power is the ability used to concentrate, regulate, and guide behavior. Creation of social crises aimed at questioning the legitimacy and efficiency of governments is one of the new approaches of the soft war planners in line with this objective. This approach focuses on the issues which are potentially suitable for crises creation while having the possibility of internal vulnerabilities. For example, they focus on such topics as the youth issues, vulnerable groups, women, ethnic groups, social complications, theater, cinema, music, etc. This paper attempts to review the courses of action taken by the U.S. government to create social crises aimed at waging soft war against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
